The Irrigation Analysis team are certified Irrigation Association Auditors. We can measure and determine distribution uniformity (DU) and to determine the specific efficiency of each zone as needed. From our Water Saver Audits, we provide detailed and specific recommendations for irrigation efficiency improvements including analysis of the actual cost and savings. Many so called water or irrigation experts lack the training, expertise, breadth of experience, or motive to provide the best advice and recommendations.
We are out to help our clients save water in the most practical and cost effective way given their system and landscape constraints, and their specific objectives or desires.
The Water Saver Audit starts with an in the field, system data collection on each zone while it is operating. As a part of this complete irrigation system assessment, we also check the scheduling and programming of the system/controller(s). We then organize the system detail and provide our analysis in a System Efficiency Report which includes a high level Executive Summary with an expected savings and return on investment (ROI) calculation for our efficiency recommendations. Our reports include detailed recommendations to improve the efficiency for each zone and a summary for use by decision makers (owners, property managers, Boards, Facility Managers, etc.) and those that will be directly involved in implementing the efficiency improvement recommendations.
From our efficiency audits, it is typical to see 30-40% water savings and relatively short 24-36 month ROI’s/paybacks when the recommended efficiency upgrades have been completed and the system is being actively managed.
